Sometimes a sure thing, really isn't a sure thing. Sometimes the thing you thought you wanted, was not what you needed. When a "possibly maybe" suddenly turns into a "probably not" right in front of your eyes, it can be disheartening.
Funny thing is, I was about to work on a personal (and much overdue) project when I was asked to "possibly maybe" do this other cool thing. I said yes.
So I got to working on sketches for this other cool thing just long enough to get excited about it. Ideas were exchanged, things tweaked, and an almost final rendering was delivered. We worked out all the rough edges. It was going to work out. Then it didn't. We agreed to part ways. And actually, I am relieved. It's a hard thing to admit.
Back to the drawing board it is. This time, for myself.
Sometimes the door closes at just the right time.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about this. It has happened to me too, so I know you might feel. When one door closes another one opens, and your blessing just might be there. I didn't forget about you though. Things are slowly falling into place for me. We'll get to it.
